hi,I have a question about the requirements of the pensionado visa.... Pensionado Benefits
Article I
To receive these benefits, it sets the age at 55 for women and 60 for men for all residents of Panama be they Panamanians or of different nationalities irregardless of age. And it states that all Jubilados and Pensionados (irregardless of age) are also entitled to these benefits: ............it says 60 yrs old for men then it says irregardless of age.....Ill be 53 yrs old next year & will receive my pension of over 3000.00 monthly.....I dont know if im reading it wrong or what....could you please explain it to me,thank you

In regards to the age thing, in order to receive retired benefits you have to be 55 if a woman or 60 if a man. That only refers to benefits. An example would be to get a discount at a hotel because you are retired.
Being retired does not itself qualify you. Having the age as stated above is what qualifies you.
So in your case you would be a retired civilian who has a pensionado civilian but you would not qualify for the benefits in my example because you are not over the required age. The businesses verify it by checking your age in your id.
Let me do some digging up in regards to your additional question.

The discounts are really minor. The pensionado visa alreeady provides you with many years of benefits and discounts and the 10% or 5% discount on meals that run you $10 dollars would hardly make you re-evaluate your economic status if you already are well off.
On the second question the limit a pensionado visa can be outside the country is 2 years. If the pensionado visa holder is out of the country for longer than that the visa is forfeited.
It took me a little longer to get that answer but there you have it !
If you any more questions, just post and if you know other people that need answers, let them know about this forum.
